Review of State-Of-The-Art
This effort has already begun in 2009 in order to provide the basis for the new work plan. National team leads develop country reports including information and data of commercial as well as R&D efforts in biomass fast pyrolysis.
In so doing we will collect:
o Lessons learned - what has happened in industry, accomplishments and failures
o State-of-the-art on bio-oil production and use, pilot/demonstration plants, applications
o State-of-the-art on other bio-oils - energy use/specifications, standards
The major input to this task area is the ongoing effort in Country Reports. At the September 2009 Task meeting, country reports were presented by the four participants in the task. You can link to these reports below:

Formulation of these country reports into a formal publication is anticipated.
